Lawrence Creek Wildlife Area Eagle Ave Parking lot is about 3/4 of a mile east of 1st Ave. This part of the WI DNR land is more of a wooded wetland area especially along Lawrence Creek which makes it harder to get to. There is a path / old road according to the DNR mapping that goes to the north all the way up to the Dyke Ct Parking Lot. It winds through the wetlands and woods past Lawrence Creek Trout Stream some of the terrain close to Eagle Ave is rolling making a nice hike. These waters are considered class 1 which means its great brook trout habitat WITH NATURAL reproduction and not fish stocking needed. In general the creek is normally very clear with high visibility with a nice rolling terrain around the stream with some areas of wetlands and high banks.
