Jordan Lake also known as Long Lake is located in Jackson Township of Adams County, Central Wisconsin. This is one of the more popular lakes on the southern end of the County due to its depth and ski ability.  Jordan Lake is an amazing 85 feet deep and about 213 acres in size with 60% of the bottom is sand and the remainder is a mix of silt, marl & rubble. You can find Northern Pike, Walleye, Largmouth Bass, Panfish and even trout.  Jordan Lake is a heavily subdivided lake both for the waterfront parcels & off water deeded access lot.  There only one section on the east end of the lake that is not split and it’s controlled by 2 private land owners.

Wisconsin River

Wisconsin River

Wisconsin is home to the 430 mile long Wisconsin River which is known for its amazing historical background.  Many years ago before it turned into the river, it was used throughout the state as a road for transportation from one location to another.  The river begins at the Northeast corner of the state and ends at the Mississippi River.  When fishing in the river you get the best of both worlds.  Not only do you get to bask in the glory of prime Wisconsin fish, but you get to enjoy the freshness of the Mississippi creatures.  The Wisconsin River flows through Adams County into Wisconsin Dells which is filled with fun attractions and historical landmarks.  An interesting fact is that around 14,000 years ago, the ice that formed Lake Wisconsin melted away causing overflow which cut a portion of the Wisconsin River out which in turn created the Wisconsin Dells.

Neenah Creek is known for its Brown Trout which starts at McGinnis Lake it’s headwaters in New Chester Township of Adams County and quickly flows through 4 locations of Upper Neenah Creek State Fishery Areas.  It flows through Jackson Township right past Wolf Lake then just north of Hill Lake (Private) before it winds its way into Oxford Township of Marquette County making its way into Neenah Lake in the Village of Oxford, Wisconsin.  The water flows through Neenah Dam returning back to creek form heading south into Douglas Township Neenah Creek is continually fled by little unknown creeks and streams along its way until meeting up O’Keefe Creek whose headwaters are from Blue Lake right by Jordan Lake back in Adams Cty.  The main channel meets up with the South Branch of Neenah Creek getting its water from Mason Lake.

The Wisconsin Dells Riverwalk is located on the strip of the Famous Wisconsin Dells WI 53965 along the Wisconsin River.  Tourists from all over the planet come to the Water Capital of the World to enjoy Wisconsin River’s beauty.  The Dells area is filled with waterparks, motels, hotels, resorts, restaurants, campgrounds, golf courses, river tours, outdoor attractions, trout streams, rock formations, shows, bars, parks and public areas including: Dells of the Wisconsin River, Mirror Lake, Rocky Arbor State Park…

The riverwalk starts by Wisconsin Dells in the Downtown Shopping District also known as “The Strip” which is Broadway inside the city limits but is State Highways 16, 23 and 13.  At the intersection of Broadway and River Road you can find parking behind the commercial buildings.   There are public restrooms on a lower level at the beginning in one of the buildings.   Here’s where one of the Wisconsin River Tour Boats boards tourists; you can see the stairs down to the docks.  Walking north along the river across the bridge leading to “The Point” gives a nice view of the Wisconsin River and the Rail Road Bridge crossing over the river.   There are signs with historical facts and photos along the entire Wisconsin Dells Riverwalk which is about 1600 feet from the strip to the end of the River Road Bridge.  Before you get to the bridge there’s an area called Overlook with seats and even outdoor chess tables.

New Haven Township WI

New Haven Township

New Haven Township is located in the southwest corner of Adams County, Central Wisconsin. This area has larger land parcels besides the small parcels of land around the lakes. To the south is Columbia County and to the east is Marquette County.  Big Spring creek flow into Mason Lake which has the southernmost county park in Adams County. New Haven also has Big Spring Lake, Big Spring Creek, O’Keefe Creek, several private lakes and Amey Pond which is surrounded by Amey Pond Fish and Wildlife Management Area owned by State of Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. State Highway 23 cuts through the southern end of this Township and Cty Road G & P is a main intersection for the area.  Briggsville is located on the eastside of Mason Lake which is in Marquette Cty.

Adams County

Adams County is Located in Central Wisconsin between Wisconsin Rapids and Wisconsin Dells consisting of 17 Townships featuring fishing lakes, trout streams, lots of public land, ATV routes, Snowmobile Trails and rock formations.  This county is known for 3 types of industries; recreation tourism, farming (mostly corporate) and small businesses.   State Highway 21 is the main artery for East & West and State Hwy 13 is the main artery for North & South travel.
