Buckhorn State Park WI Sandblow Vista
The Sandblow Vista is one of the attractions at Buckhorn State Park and part of the Central Sands Trail by the Wildlife Observation Blind. This whole area along the Wisconsin River in both Adams and Juneau Counties was once underwater; part of Wisconsin’s Glacial Lake. Now it’s considered part of the Central Sands also known as Wisconsin’s Desert because of the sandy soil which gets hotter than the surrounding soils. The Sandblow Vista is basically a boardwalk up to an observational deck with two informational plaques talking about the area history and how the sand blows.
