Buckhorn State Park WI Canoe Launch
Buckhorn State Park and the surrounding areas including Buckhorn Wildlife Area, Yellow River Wildlife Area & Yellow River Oxbows have several kayak and canoe launches which give access to both the Yellow River and Castle Rock Lake. There are five designated launch sites in this area with some only for none motorized watercraft. Canoeing can be a great way to explore the shorelines of Wisconsin fishing waters; to quietly get close to both aquatic life and local wildlife. The Buckhorn State park is home to Bald Eagle, Great Blue Heron, Northern Pike, Walleye, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Whitetail Deer, Wild Turkey plus a wide variety of both small game and panfish.
